HARDWARE ENGINEER
The hardware engineer will develop the equipment and instruments for an innovative medical device, enabling surgeries that were previously impossible. This product aims to help surgeons with an effective and precise technology and to give hope to patients worldwide.

What You’ll Do
As a member of the R&D team and under the supervision of the R&D Director, the missions are:

Define requirements for mechanical and mecatronical components of the robotic platform, the instruments and accessories based on System requirements

Develop and validate mock-ups, models and prototypes, identify and analyze technical solutions, by using CAD tools and 3D printing

Develop and fine-tune mechanical components, hardware, and instruments
-
Produce specifications, drawings, parts lists and associate documentation
-
Interact with development partners, prototype suppliers, component manufacturers
-
Participate in risk management activities, identify and treats Failure modes of critical components
-
Participate in verification activities (Protocols, Tests, and Reports)
-
Ensure quality and compliance of his deliverables (design work and documentation)
-
Ensure product quality and safety through compliance to standards like IEC 60601

Participate in the industrialization of the product and transfer to production

Participate in impact analyses of a Design Change

Support the Regulatory department for regulatory files
-
Support the Quality department for investigating and addressing Quality issues
-
Participate in continuous improvement of working methodologies
Who You are
-
Engineering degree or Master’degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
-
Extensive interest in mechanical, robotics and mechatronic systems
-
5-7 years minimum experience in the design of machines and mechanical parts
-
Mechanical design and experience with CAD tools and 3D printing
-
Enthusiasm and a strong desire to enhance surgical technology to improve the life of patients
-
A proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team. Ability to listen and be a team player
-
Able to learn and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving work environment
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French and the ability to communicate with international actors
