IP EXPERT
The IP Expert is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s intellectual property strategy. Reporting to the CTO, you will collaborate closely with R&D teams to protect and manage IP assets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and innovation goals.

What You’ll Do

Manage upstream and downstream all intellectual property matters:

Prior art analysis and prior art searches

Patentability and freedom-to-operate studies
-
Drafting of claims, national and international filing

Responding to potential oppositions, and managing and monitoring ongoing procedures for existing portfolios

Working closely with researchers and project teams on all IP matters​

Assist in the development and implementation of IP strategies

Develop the IP portfolio by identifying and protecting innovative technologies, assessing their potential, and proactively expanding patent filings in line with the company’s strategic objectives​​​

· Monitor the financial aspects of the portfolio and IP-related expenses.

Structure and organize all IP matters by implementing management tools, procedures for operations, automation, archiving, and electronic document management, as well as information categorization and referencing.

Manage IP-related disputes and litigation.

Contribute to the development and improvement of IP management procedures.

Evaluate and analyze the threats and risks as well as opportunities related to the company’s IP
Who You are
-
Engineer in Biology or Life Sciences

Holding a degree from CEIPI (mandatory)
​​

Hands-on experience in intellectual property consulting, either within a company, an IP
consulting firm, or a technology transfer organization, with dual experience in both private and public sectors.

Enthusiasm and a strong desire to enhance surgical technology to improve the life of patients
​

A proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team. Ability to listen and be a team player.

Able to learn and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving work environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French and the ability to
communicate with international actors
