TEST ENGINEER

The test engineer coordinates the verification and the validation of an innovative medical device, enabling surgeries that were previously impossible. This product aims to help surgeons with an effective and precise technology and to give hope to patients worldwide.

What You’ll Do

As a member of the test team, and under the supervision of the test manager, the missions are to :

  • Work hand in hand with the system, hardware and software engineers to ensure that the product runs as required

  • Implement test setups and put in place testing tools and frameworks

  • Review system specifications for testability and participate in the design discussions

  • Write and review test protocols

  • Execute manual test cases and write the resulting test reports

  • Work closely with the engineers to detect and reproduce defects, verify their resolution

  • Participate in impact analyses of a Design Change

  • Support the Regulatory department for regulatory files

  • Support the Quality department for investigating and addressing Quality issues

  • Participate in continuous improvement of working methodologies

Who You are

  • MS engineering / science or equivalent degree

  • 2+ years of experience in testing activities

  • Experience in verification and validation of devices including both mechanical and software components.

  • Ideally, previous experience in testing medical devices for CE certification/FDA

  • Enthusiasm and a strong desire to improve surgical technology to improve the life of patients

  • A proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team. Ability to listen and be a team player.

  • Able to learn and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving work environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French and the ability to communicate with international actors
